Your privacy is important to us. It is SODEI’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://sodei.org.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we are collecting it and how it will be used.

Visitors to the website may choose to communicate with SODEI (eg: by e-mail, telephone, Skype, etc.) to seek support or request materials.   Such communication will inevitably contain personal details (eg: name, e-mail address, telephone number) and such other personal details as are necessary for SODEI to respond effectively to the communication.   In such cases the communication will be regarded as including consent (whether explicitly stated or not) under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK’s for SODEI to make use of such personal information as it contains solely for the purpose of responding to the communication.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we will protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third parties, except when required to by law.

SODEI DOES NOT
(1) make use such information to produce & distribute advertising, marketing, or fundraising materials;
(2) sell, or otherwise pass on, any personal data to other individuals or organisations for any purpose.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

Like most websites, the software used to create the Solidarity and Development Initiative (SODEI) website uses “cookies” (small identification tags consisting of a series of letter, numbers, or characters) to monitor the way that visitors use the site.

These “cookies” are used purely by the website software for technical purposes to improve the efficiency of the site and to collect anonymous data on the numbers of people visiting the various pages of the website.
